The aim of the thesis is to investigate the potential for RDF production by using the biodrying process and evaluate its economic feasibility. The biodrying allowed an increase in calorific value of 52%. Chlorine in RDF ranges 0.66-1.30%. RDF became one of the interesting alternatives to solve mixed SWM problems in the Arab region. High capital investment is needed to set up a RDF plant, return on investment is not guaranteed to treat the designed waste quantity for all cases. Therefore, the success of SWM is based on the partnership and cooperation between different involved parties.
