Carbon dioxide and sulfuryl fluoride are alternative gaseous in stored product protection for methyl bromide, which was phased out because of its ozone depleting effect. This study combines the investigations on the quality damages of dried figs e.g. sugaring and browning after the carbon dioxide treatment under high pressure and on the efficacy of sulfuryl fluoride against all life stages of two important pest insects, warehouse moth Ephestia elutella and merchant grain beetle Oryzaephilus mercator. |
