In this work the development of unusual three-, four- and five-membered metallacycles is described and the bonding situation and reactivity of these highly strained ring systems is studied in detail. The substitution of known “all-C” metallacycles with ferrocenyl groups yields oligonuclear compounds. Analogous heterocycles were synthesized and characterized as carbodiimide, sulfurdiimide and azo complexes. Decamethyltitanocene favours the elimination of the Cp* ligands. |
