The results derived from the monitoring programs designed and implemented in JLF site during this research can be adopted and applied in other landfills with similar contents. The implementation of the "in-situ aerobic stabilization" method is proved to be a very promising approach for the minimization of environmental effects as well as the safe reclamation of the landfilling areas which is about 3% of the total urban/municipal areas of Kuwait.
