The mechanical characterization by tensile and compression tests was mainly performed using various parameters influencing the stability. In addition, a comparison with well-known hydrogels was made. These materials were used as artificial vessel model to carry out balloon dilations. By use of a flow-through cell, an artificial vessel wall could be generated.
