This thesis deals with the solution of optimal control problems for switched systems. The methods evaluated include existing algorithms such as dynamic programming as well as newly developed algorithms. An interesting application of switched systems in the automotive industry are nowadays hybrid vehicles. Hybrid vehicles can be modeled as switched systems. It is evaluated, which method is appropriate for the solution of the resulting hybrid optimal control problems and their practical use in the calibration of hybrid vehicles as well as new functional approaches are proposed.
