    <description descriptionType="Abstract">The dissertation is mainly concerned with the selective carbonylation of alkenes in the presence of homogeneous catalysts. More specifically, domino hydroaminomethylation reactions, alkoxy- and aminocarbonylations of alkenes and allenes are presented. The resulting aliphatic amines, amides and esters constitute important intermediates for both organic synthesis and chemical industries.</description>
