Due to the raw materials stored on site, stormwater from silo facilities has a high organic and nutrient load that must be treated before discharge to surface or groundwater. Due to the entirely different composition of this wastewater compared to urban runoff, completely new evaluation criteria and treatment systems must be developed for this. The aim of the research project was to define the technical basis for the treatment of stormwater runoff and offer a reliable stormwater treatment process.
