In the present study, a method was developed to generate model-based, high-resolution flood flow characteristics for small, unobserved streams in the north-east German lowlands. The information required to build the models was derived from available geodata and transferred from observed to unobserved sites. Based on the flood flow characteristics for the current state, a GIS routine was developed that enables an interactive calculation of flood characteristics for planned land use changes.
