Through its ability to bind a variety of adenyl nucleotides, SbtB is capable of sensing the energy, inorganic carbon and light states of the cell, to modulate the activity of multiple components of the CCM allowing cyanobacteria to adapt to changing carbon and light conditions. The regulation targets of SbtB include the bicarbonate transporter SbtA, the glycogen branching enzyme GlgB and gene expression of the CCM.</field><field name="mods.abstract">In dieser Arbeit wurden die Eigenschaften des kleinen Proteins SbtB untersucht, einen Regulator des Kohlenstoffkonzentrationsmechanismus (CCM) in Cyanobakterien. Durch die Bindung eine Vielzahl von Adenylnukleotiden, ist SbtB in der Lage, den Energie-, anorganischen Kohlenstoff- und Lichtzustand der Zelle zu erfassen und mehrerer Komponenten des CCM zu modulieren, wodurch sich Cyanobakterien an veränderte Kohlenstoff- und Lichtbedingungen anpassen können.
