Abstract: With regard to an evaluation of numerical prediction models as well as to an estimation of damping values used in forced vibration calculation, the knowledge of the dynamic behaviour of real ship structures is very important. Because of rising demands concerning vibration levels during ship operation, the requirements on the accuracy of a numerical prediction are increasing. Therefore, the importance of an experimental identification of dynamic parameters, especially damping values, is very high. The objective of the presented report is such an experimental identification of the dynamic behaviour of global and local ship structures.
