Die experimentelle Promotionsarbeit dient der In-Vivo-Testung eines biodegradierbaren
Sirolimus-beschichteten Polylaktid-Stents im Tiermodell. Die biodegradierbaren Stents
wurden in porcine Iliakalarterien implantiert und einer Kontrollgruppe von bare metal-Stents
gegenübergestellt. Es folgte die histomorphologische Auswertung der lokalen Entzündungsreaktion
sowie der Gefäßverletzung, außerdem wurde das Degradationsverhalten im Organismus
untersucht.
