In dieser Arbeit wurde der Einfluß der Transfektion immortalisierter neuraler Progenitorzellen
der Ratte mit den neurotrophen Faktoren ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) und glial
cell line derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) auf mehrere biologische Eigenschaften
und auf die Expression des differenzierungsrelevanten Morphogenes Wnt-5a vergleichend
untersucht. Es wurden Unterschiede sowohl zwischen nativen ST14A, CNTF-transfizierten
und GDNF-transfizierten ST14A, als auch zu scheintransfizierten ST14A gefunden, wobei
essentielle Eigenschaften der Zelllinie ST14A für Transplantationsexperimente vorteilhaft
verändert sind.

The present study explores the influence of the transfection of rat immortalized neural
progenitor cells with neurotrophic factors ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) and
glial cell line derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) on the biological properties as
well as on the expression of the morphogen Wnt-5a.
There are differences concerning these properties between native, CNTF-transfected
and GDNF-transfected cells as well as to sham-transfected cells.
In conclusion transfection of neural progenitor cells of ST14A-type with the neurotrophic
factors CNTF and GDNF improves biological properties in view of thier transplantation
in animal models of neurodegenerative diseases.
