Abstract: The goal of the present dissertation was an expansion of the synthetic potential of 1,3-bis(silyl enol ethers). Thus, a variety of functionalized fluorenones and functionalized phthalates and isophthalates were prepared. Various reactions with halogenated 1,3-bis(silyl enol ethers) resulted in the formation of halogenated phenols and butenolides. Different 3,5-dioxopimelates were obtained in good to very good yields by a new and efficient catalytic condensation of 1,3-bis(silyl enol ethers) with methyl-2-chloroformylacetate.
