Abstract: This Ph. D. thesis deals with the activation of C–F and M–F bonds within the group 4 metallocene chemistry. There, a realization of a transition metal-free C–F bond activation of non-activated C–F bonds is described. Moreover, investigations of menthyl-substituted metallocenes are in the focus of this work, regarding to that a variety of new compounds is reported. These complexes are characterized and compared by their spectroscopic and structural data as well as their reaction behavior by conversions with ethylene and carbon dioxide.
