Im Rahmen der 4. DAJ-Studie wurde 2004 die Kariesprävalenz von 6-7-Jährigen, 12-Jährigen
und 15-Jährigen des Landes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ausgewertet. In der Querschnittsstudie
wurden durchschnittlich 10% der Schüler aus 18 Landkreisen untersucht. Der dmft-Index
wies für die 6-7-Jährigen einen Mittelwert von 2,58 im Milchgebiss auf, im bleibenden
Gebiss lag der DMFT-Index bei 0,08. Die 12-Jährigen zeigten eine Kariesprävalenz von
1,42 DMF-Zähnen, bei den 15-Jährigen lag der DMFT-Index bei 2,9. Der Trend des Caries
decline setzte sich im Vergleich zu den Vorgängerstudien fort.

The aim of the 4. German field study of the DAJ in the year 2004 was to obtain representative
data on caries of the 6-7-year-old, 12-year-old and 15-year-old children of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The representative cross-sectional oral health survey was performed by calibrated
dentists. After random selection were 10% of the scholars at the age of 6-7, 12 and
15 examined. First grade: the mean dmft score of the first teeth was 2,58, for the
permanent teeth 0,08. The 12-year-old showed a DMFT of 1,42 and the 15-year old scholars
had 2.9. The trend of the caries decline continued.
