Abstract: Due to the importance and wide-range applications of carbon-carbon bond forming reactions in organic synthesis, palladium(0)-catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling reactions of 1,3- and 1,4- dihydroxy-9H-thioxanthen-9-one, 2,3,5-tribromoinden-1-one, 2,3,6-tribromo-1-methyl-1H-indole and Heck reactions of 2,3-dibromonaphthaquinone were studied in my thesis.
