Bei Klieschen (Limanda limanda) der Nord- und Ostsee wurden anhand von In-situ-Studien
und Experimenten Ursachen der Hyperpigmentierung der Haut untersucht. Hyperpigmentierte
Klieschen zeigen im Vergleich zu nicht betroffenen Tieren erhöhte Kaliumgehalte im
Blutplasma, einen größeren Augendurchmesser, niedrigere Konditionsfaktoren, geringere
Totallipidgehalte in der Leber und erhöhte Gehalte an mehrfach ungesättigten Fettsäuren.
Die Ergebnisse werden im Zusammenhang mit Populationsveränderungen, Veränderungen
der Umweltbedingungen in Nord- und Ostsee sowie weiteren Einflussgrößen diskutiert.

The causes of hyperpigmentation in the skin of dab (Limanda limanda) from the North
Sea and Baltic Sea were investigated in situ-studies and experiments. Hyperpigmented
dab indicate elevated potassium concentration in the blood plasma, a lower condition
factor, lower total lipids in the liver and elevated lipid amounts of polyunsaturated
fatty acids compared to those of non-affected control fish. The results will be discussed
in the context of population alterations, changes in the environmental conditions
as well as other influencing variables.
