Weißer und Gelber Steinklee (Melilotus albus, M. officinalis) sind Leguminosen mit
einer Anbaueignung für trockene Sandböden. Sie sind eine gute Ergänzung für Ackerbaufruchtfolgen
mit Defiziten bezüglich Bodenfruchtbarkeit und Biodiversität. Eine Literaturrecherche
sowie Feldversuche zur Fruchtfolgestellung und Produktionstechnik liefern Ergebnisse
für moderne Anbauverfahren. Das Auftreten von Sitona spp. wurde dokumentiert, die
Silierung und Nutzung als Biogassubstrat im Labor geprüft.

White and yellow sweet clover (Melilotus albus, M. officinalis) are legumes suitable
for cultivation on dry sandy soils. They are ideal for arable crop rotations with
deficits in soil fertility and biodiversity. A literature review and field experiments
provide results for modern cultivation methods. The occurrence of Sitona spp. was
documented. Ensiling and biogas utilization were tested.
