abstract: |
A simple and convenient domino cycloaromatization approach towards the synthesis of
novel benzo[c]chromen-6-ones and benzo[c]chromenes by treatment of heterocyclic chlorovinyl-aldehydes
with active methylene compounds has been developed. In another strategy novel biaryl
lactones were prepared by Sonogashira cross-coupling and base catalyzed reactions
of 4-chloro-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carbaldehyde with terminal alkynes and 1, 3-dicarbonyl
compounds.Finally some heterocyclic chlorovinyl-aldehydes were treated with electron
rich heterocyclic amines to afford novel heteroannulated pyridines.
