Abstract: In the scope of the present thesis, next generation sequencing, assessment of bacterial bulk parameters and interdisciplinary approaches were used in laboratory experiments and field studies to add to current knowledge on the impact of important environmental factors on bacterial communities. The results highlight the enormous overall impact of environmental conditions on bacterial community composition and activity. They also provide the first tentative identifications of key taxa likely to be affected by changes in those conditions.

Es wurden next generation sequencing, die Beurteilung der bakteriellen Bulk-Parameter und interdisziplinäre Ansätze in Laborexperimenten und Feldstudien verwendet, um aktuelles Wissen über die Auswirkungen von wichtigen Umweltfaktoren auf die Bakteriengemeinschaften zu erweitern. Die Ergebnisse unterstreichen den generell enormen Einfluss von Umweltbedingungen auf die Zusammensetzung und Aktivität der Bakteriengemeinschaften. Sie beinhalten auch die ersten Identifikationen der wichtigsten Taxa, die wahrscheinlich durch Änderungen der untersuchten Umweltbedingungen beeinflusst werden. [German]
