Abstract: In the first part of this thesis the coordination behavior for P(CN)3 was studied, for preparing CN-rich phosphorous compounds from the reaction of P(CN)3 with weakly coordinating anions, Lewis bases, transition metal complexes and room temperature ionic liquids. In the second part of this thesis the new transition metal complexes from tetracyanopyrrole were synthesized. Remarkably, a new 1D-coordination polymer based on tetracyanopyrrolide could be isolated. Additionally, new TCP-salts of the type [R3NH]TCP (R= Me or nPr) were synthesized. All synthesized compounds were fully characterized.
