Die Dissertation untersucht die Genese der Geschlechtersegregation von technischen
Berufen anhand der technischen Berufsorientierung von Schülerinnen und Schülern. Im
Fokus steht der fachkulturelle Habitus der technischen Fächer, dessen Konstruktionsprozess
während der Schulzeit und der Einfluss auf die Berufsorientierung der Schülerinnen
und Schüler. Die empirische Grundlage der Forschungsarbeit ist eine standardisierte
Schülerinnen- und Schülerumfrage in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Berlin und Nordrhein-Westfalen
an Regelschulen sowie Mädchengymnasien und Waldorfschulen.

The dissertation examines the genesis of gender segregation in technical professions.
Focus is the culture of technical profession, their construction process during school
time and the influence on the professional orientation of pupils. The empirical basis
of the research is a standardized student survey in Germany at regular schools as
well as girls' gymnasiums and Waldorf schools.
