Abstract: The aim of this thesis is the investigation of water and P fluxes from soil to surface waters on different spatial (soil profile scale to approx. 3000 km²) and temporal scales under particular consideration of artificial drainage. It was observed that different processes could be identified in the release of dissolved reactive phosphorus and total phosphorus on the observed spatial and temporal scales. However, all observed patterns of elevated P export were related to rainfall events. The author could successfully visualize macropore transport of colloids using a new dye tracing method.
