Abstract: In the present work the syntheses and characterizations of 16 new tetracyanidoborat compounds ([B(CN)4]−), a new bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide compound ([NS2O4C2F6]−) and two mixed salts, each containing a tetracyandioborat- and a bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl) amide anion, set forth. With the compounds Sr[B(CN)4]2 and Ca[B(CN)4]2, the first ligand-free salts with void volumes of 827 Å3 and 712 Å3 could be prepared. With the bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide anion low-melting salts could be synthesized.
