Abstract: In the field of surveying, terrestrial laser scanners are a conventional measuring system for a comprehensive 3D digitalization of objects. In addition, the advantages of the measurement method offer enormous potential for application in the industrial production of large structures. The tasks from the quality assurance area, the control of production processes or the online programming of automation systems can be implemented quickly and efficiently. From the point of view of the manufacturing technology, the suitability of a the measuring process for a spezial task is of primary importance.
