Am Beispiel des Interesses von Schülerinnen und Schülern werden der theoretische Anspruch
und die empirische Umsetzung von Arbeiten der − vorrangig quantitativ geprägten −
empirischen Bildungsforschung gegenübergestellt sowie ein eigener empirischer Beitrag
geleistet. Entlang der theoretisch angenommenen sowie empirisch umgesetzten Ebenen
werden Diffusoren − Transferprobleme zwischen Anspruch und Umsetzung − aufgedeckt
und konstruktive Möglichkeiten des Umgangs mit diesen dargelegt. In ihrer Reichweite
zeigen sich die Diffusoren generell für Arbeiten der quantitativen Sozialforschung
relevant.

In this work interests of pupils are treated as an example if addressed theoretical
and empirical levels in studies are a match in quantitative, empirical educational
research. Along these levels "Diffusoren" − translation problems between theoretical
claim and empirical realization − were identified and discussed as constructive instruments
to address these transfer problems. The scope of these findings seems to be relevant
for all empirical social research that uses quantitative methods.
