Ultraschnelle Relaxation und Elektronentransfer bei Photosensibilisatoren basierend auf Übergangsmetallen der ersten Reihe

Abstract: A photocatalytic system, which generates solar fuels like hydrogen, requires, besides the catalyst, a photosensitizer. This light harvesting unit absorbs the sun light and supplies the catalytic system with energy to keep the reaction cycle going. This thesis focuses on photosensitizers based on chromium, iron, and copper. Ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy is used to get insight into the relaxation processes following photo absorption.
