Pilgern ist eine in den meisten Religionen der Welt ausgeübte Praxis mit steigender
Popularität im deutschen Sprachraum. Auch Protestanten entdecken das Pilgern nach
einer rund 490-jährigen Pilgerkarenz wieder. Wallfahren/Pilgern ist eine Möglichkeit,
Aktion und Kontemplation sowie die Suche nach Wahrheit, Schönheit und Sinn, respektive
die Sehnsucht nach Gemeinschaft auf Zeit unter stärkerer Einbeziehung leiblicher Erfahrung
auf spezifische Weise zu vereinen. Die Spezifik besteht in der durch die Ambulanz
ermöglichte interimistische Intensivierung von Religion bzw. religiöser Erlebnisse.

Pilgrimage is an exercised practice in most religions of the world with increasing
popularity in the past twenty years in the German-speaking world. Also protestant
Christians rediscovered pilgrimage after a 490-years pilgrimage abstention. Wallfahren/Pilgern
is an option for uniting action and contemplation as well as the pursuit of truth,
beauty and meaning respectively the longing for a stronger involvement of physical
experience in a specific way. The specifics consist in the ambulantly enabled temporary
intensification of religion and religious experience.
