Abstract: In the healthy ear, the contraction of the tensor veli palatini muscle opens the tube. There is a high probability that the tearing off of the mucous membrane produces a typical clicking sound that occurs reliably and synchronously with the change in pressure in the ear canal. Tube clicks occur when the tube is opened and can be used as a reliable indicator of the tube opening. The technical effort for registration is low and clinically suitable.
