Abstract: The life cycle of Eleutheria dichotoma includes medusae and colonial polyps. Medusae reproduce both sexually and asexually, which allows them to adapt their reproductive strategy to environmental conditions. The study examined the role of salinity, temperature and population density in reproduction and survival of medusae and polyps. I have shown, among other things, that medusae increase asexual reproduction under favourable conditions and sexual reproduction under unfavourable conditions, and that polyps are more resistant than medusae and can serve as a reservoir of genet.
