Abstract: This thesis examines the relationship between work and person-related indicators and mental health in high school teachers. It uses data from the study “Lehrerarbeit im Wandel“ by Seibt and Kreuzfeld (2017). One third of the teachers have working conditions that are hazardous to health, 40% of them spend too much on their work. Four percent are at high risk of burnout. Working conditions and personal characteristics are the most relevant influencing factors on mental health, civil servant status and working time measures are of minor importance.
