Das Ziel dieser Arbeit war es zu evaluieren, inwieweit Kurzschaftkonzepte eine Alternative
zu herkömmlichen Standardschäften hinsichtlich Implantatstabilität, funktionell- radiologischem
Ergebnis sowie periprothetischem Knochenumbau darstellen. Kurzschäfte zeigen Migrationsmuster,
die als frühe postoperative Mikrobewegung mit anschließender kontinuierlicher Stabilität
beschrieben werden können. Kurzschäfte können den Standardschäften vergleichbare klinische
Ergebnisse liefern. Schenkelhalserhaltende Konstruktionen weisen hinsichtlich des
Implantatüberlebens schlechtere Ergebnisse auf.

The aim of this work was to evaluate if short stem concepts represent an alternative
to conventional standard stems with regard to implant stability, functional- radiological
results and periprosthetic bone remodeling. Short stems show migration patterns that
can be described as early postoperative micro-movement followed by continuous stability.
Short stems can provide clinical results comparable to standard stems. Femoral neck-preserving
constructions show poorer results in terms of implant survival.
