Abstract: Devices are increasingly being connected to the electrical power grid by means of power electronic assemblies. This causes a degradation in power quality and power flows above the fundamental frequency. Until now, those effects cannot be measured with sufficient accuracy. In this thesis, a novel measurement system is developed that allows the measurement of spectral power quality, harmonic power flows and power system frequency with higher accuracy and time resolution. A laboratory prototype is used to demonstrate its performance through measurements on the grid.
