Abstract: Clostridioides difficile is a spore-forming, anaerobic and biofilm forming microorganism. Due to increased antibiotic resistance, alternative substances for antimicrobial coating of implant surfaces have been investigated. Schistosomal tegument proteins show antithrombotic properties, which are ideal for implant surfaces. The effect on biofilm formation is not known. The recombinantly produced protein rSm22.6 showed no effect on biofilm formation. D-amino acids and cis-2-decenoic acid showed on C. difficile biofilm formation.
