Die Mortalität und Morbidität von Patienten mit ANCA-assoziierten Kleingefäßvaskulitiden
(AAV) sind trotz der therapeutischen Fortschritte in den letzten Jahrzehnten weiterhin
gegenüber der der Normalbevölkerung signifikant erhöht. Ziel dieser Arbeit war die
Evaluation neuer paraklinischer Parameter zur Einschätzung der Krankheitsaktivität
und Verlaufsbeurteilung. Neben dem sCD163 (ein Marker des Monozyten-Makrophagen-Systems)
wurde zell-freie DNA zur Quantifizierung von Neutrophil Extrazellulär Traps (NETs),
die eine zentrale Rolle in der Pathogenese der AAVs spielen, im Plasma bestimmt.

Despite therapeutic advances in recent decades, the mortality and morbidity of patients
with ANCA-associated vasculitides (AAV) continue to be significantly increased compared
to the general population. The goal of this project was the evaluation of alternative
paraclinical parameters for the assessment of the disease activity and progression.
In addition to sCD163 (a marker of the monocyte-macrophage system), cell-free DNA
was determined in plasma to quantify neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), which
play a central role in the pathogenesis of AAVs.
