Der Beitrag flacher Küstengewässer als lokale Quellen oder Senken für atmosphärische
Treibhausgase (THG) ist ungenau. In dieser Dissertation wurden zwei Messplattformen
mit Sensoren im Flachwasser der Ostsee (< 6 m) eingesetzt, um biogeochemische Variablen
und THG in hoher zeitlicher Auflösung zu erfassen. Außerdem wurde eine Wiederbefeuchtung
eines küstennahen Moorgebietes untersucht, wobei die Auswirkungen einer Vernässung
mit Brackwasser auf die THG-Emissionen weitgehend unbekannt sind, obwohl ein positiver
Effekt auf die Verringerung der CH4 Emissionen erwartet wird.

The contribution of coastal waters as local sources or sinks of atmospheric greenhouse
gases (GHGs) is imprecise. In this dissertation, two platforms with sensors were deployed
in the shallow waters of the Baltic Sea (< 6 m) to record biogeochemical variables
and GHGs in high temporal resolution. In addition, a rewetting of a coastal peatland
was investigated, whereby the effects of rewetting with brackish water on GHG emissions
are largely unknown, although a positive effect on the reduction of CH4 emissions
is expected.
