Im Rahmen eines Tierversuches wurde die Wirksamkeit des AMPA-Rezeptorblockers Perampanel
bei der Behandlung von Gliom-Patienten untersucht. Hierfür wurden durch Zellinjektion
in den Neocortex von Fischer-Ratten Gliome gezüchtet und die damit assoziierten epileptischen
Entladungen im Video-EEG ausgezählt und analysiert. Es erfolgte ein Vergleich mit
Versuchstieren, die keine Behandlung erhalten hatten. Erweitert wurden die Untersuchungen
durch die Betrachtung von klinischen EEGs von Patienten der Rostocker Klinik und Poliklinik
für Neurologie.

The effectiveness of the AMPA receptor blocker perampanel in the treatment of glioma
patients was examined in an animal experiment. For this purpose, gliomas were grown
by cell injection into the neocortex of Fischer rats and the associated epileptic
discharges in the Video-EEG were counted and assessed. A comparison was made with
test animals that had not received any treatment. The investigations were expanded
by the examination of clinical EEGs from patients at the Clinic and Polyclinic for
Neurology in Rostock.
