Abstract: This dissertation explores the use of agricultural residues in Africa to produce high-quality, sustainable biogenic silica. By employing innovative extraction and modification processes, the study demonstrates the potential of these materials for advanced applications, particularly as catalyst support in low-temperature methane combustion. This research highlights the valuable role of biomass residues in sustainable materials and catalytic operations, contributing to global efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of material production.
