Abstract: This dissertation is concerned with the reactivity of α-Si-carbyne ligands and side-on coordinated α-P,Si-alkyne ligands in Tp*-tungsten complexes with regard to the generation of silylium ions in α-position as well as the use of the alkyne complexes as chelating ligands in polynuclear compounds of platinum group metals. Furthermore, the reactivity of the generated polynuclear complexes with respect to hydride abstraction and deprotonation as well as their oxidation behaviour and potential as hydrogenation reagents are described.
