Abstract: The microelectrode array (MEA) is increasingly important in the field of animal testing replacement systems. In this work, networks of dissociated primary mouse embryonic cortex cells were grown on glass chips using MEA. The spontaneous electrical activity of these networks was visualized and recorded using an amplifier. These data were used to characterize the sensor itself, the structural analysis of the networks, various pharmacological studies and for stimulation experiments with a UV short-pulse laser.
