Abstract: This dissertation explores how environmental living conditions affect physical and mental health in Europe. Using a holistic approach, it analyzes spatial and temporal links between the environment and health outcomes, revealing associations like food accessibility and obesity, environmental pollution's impact on physical health, and air pollution's effects on cognitive functioning. The study underscores the global interplay of environment, behavior, and health, advocating public awareness and stressing the need to address both physical and mental health in environmental concerns.
