In this thesis, a novel, layered, flow-oriented coordination model is proposed to
address the challenges of integrating disparate visual analytics tools. By enabling
flexible and minimally invasive coupling of independent tools, the model simplifies
multi-tool workflows and enhances usability. It was operationalized through an open-source
application and validated in a three-stage evaluation, demonstrating its effectiveness,
particularly in medical data analysis. This work paves the way for more sustainable
and adaptable multi-tool processes, advancing user-oriented visual analytics solutions.

Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit der Integration unterschiedlicher visueller Analysewerkzeuge.
Hierfür präsentiert sie einen neuartigen, mehrschichtigen und flussorientierten Koordinationsansatz
zur flexiblen Kopplung unabhängiger Werkzeuge. Dadurch vereinfacht das Modell Multi-Tool-Workflows
und verbessert die Benutzerfreundlichkeit. Die entstandene Open-Source-Anwendung wurde
in einer dreistufigen Evaluierung zur Analyse medizinischer Daten validiert. Damit
ebnet sie den Weg für nachhaltigere und anpassungsfähigere Multi-Tool-Prozesse und
fördert benutzerorientierte visuelle Analyselösungen.
