Accessible tools for biomolecular data analysis using large-scale knowledge graphs

Abstract: The interpretation of biomolecular data is often challenging due to the heterogeneity in the structural and functional organization of biological systems. In this thesis, I created knowledge graphs of disease processes, published as interactive Disease Maps, and developed new tools for their analysis. I present (i) the Atlas of Inflammation Resolution (AIR), (ii) the two-dimensional enrichment analysis (2DEA) as a novel network-based enrichment approach, (iii) the Sarcopenia Map linking gastrointestinal diseases and sarcopenia, and (iv) the MASLD Map investigating steatotic liver diseases.
