Abstract: This dissertation reports the preparation and application of no-noble metal-based catalysts for the borrowing hydrogen and amidation reactions involving the synthesis of organic compounds. Cobalt-based nanostructured materials, iron-zinc bimetal catalyst, Ni-nanoparticles and single atom Co catalysts were developed. Several advanced analytical techniques such as XRD, XPS, BET, Raman, TEM, XAS have been used to investigate the detailed structure of these prepared catalytic materials to understand structurereactivity relationships.
