Das bioartifizielle ICE-System zeigte in der Sepsistherapie Sicherheit und Verträglichkeit,
wird jedoch bislang durch technische Komplexität und die limitierte Verfügbarkeit
von Standard-Granulozytenpräparaten eingeschränkt. Durch Optimierung der Zellreinigung,
Vereinfachung der Systemarchitektur und präzisere Dosissteuerung konnten zentrale
Hürden überwunden und die Voraussetzungen für eine breitere klinische Implementierung
geschaffen werden.

The bioartificial ICE system demonstrated safety and tolerability in sepsis therapy
but remains limited by technical complexity and the restricted availability of standardized
granulocyte preparations. Optimization of cell purification, simplification of system
architecture, and more precise dose control helped overcome key barriers and established
the foundation for broader clinical implementation.
