Abstract: The doctoral thesis is divided into three sections: The foundational section examines developments in the history of (German) education between 3rd October 1990 and 3rd October 2020. They are closely linked to political events, the effects are reflected in the curricula. These are analysed in the research section, the aspect of Fächerverbindung (interdisciplinary teaching) is central. The development section presents the Kreuzpunkte model, which is intended to implement subject integration in practice. The goal is to work in an efficient and time saving manner and to improve teaching quality.
