in supply chains through four studies. It examines technology adoption, trust dynamics,
transaction costs, and applications in virtual supply networks. Building on literature
and empirical data, the work highlights both opportunities and challenges of this
technology and provides actionable insights for practitioners as well as contributions
to advancing existing theoretical frameworks.

Die Dissertation untersucht in vier Studien die theoretischen und praktischen Implikationen
von Smart Contracts in Lieferketten. Sie beleuchtet Technologieakzeptanz, Vertrauensdimensionen,
Transaktionskosten und Anwendungspotenziale in virtuellen Lieferketten. Aufbauend
auf Literaturanalysen und empirischen Studien zeigt sie Chancen und Herausforderungen
dieser Technologie auf und bietet praxisnahe Handlungsempfehlungen für Unternehmen
sowie Beiträge zur Weiterentwicklung bestehender Theorien.
