Abstract: To support Indocement’s 2030 goal of 50% coal substitution, this study analyzed 1,265 Mg of MSW from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi. High moisture (55%) and low LHV (5.4 MJ/kg) made it unsuitable for RDF, but 80-90% combustibility shows promise. Four RDF scenarios were modeled; RDFP-3 - drying RDF and using low-grade RDF at the cement plant proved most cost-effective with a 6-year payback. Scaling to 6,500 Mg/day could replace 608,000 Mg/year of coal and cut CO₂ by 586,000 Mg/year. Emissions can meet Indonesian standards.
