Abstract: This study explores sustainable, non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPUs) using renewable resources. Cyclic carbonated oils and epoxysiloxanes were synthesized via batch and autoclave methods. Diverse amino-terminated poly(imidazolium)-based ionic liquids (PIMs) were created as NIPU curing agents and hydrogel crosslinkers. The NIPUs were characterized for their MW distribution and viscoelastic properties, essential for applications in coatings, adhesives. Furthermore, the research investigated two distinct types of PIM-crosslinked hydrogels: polysuccinimide (PSI) and chitosan-based hydrogels.
